Stigu Spiralbound week4It can help to keep a journal of the changes you are planning to make, how you are preparing for those changes and what you hope to see, such as setting a date to quit smoking, and looking forward to having a better sense of smell and more energy. Log your ups (and downs) honestly in your journal and remember the importance of self-compassion when you are on a journey of renewal.

When pathways are built into mountain sides, they don’t go steeply from bottom to top, because no-one except an experienced mountaineer would be able to make the climb. Instead the path moves around the mountain in spirals, making the journey longer, but more achievable. When you walk around a winding mountain path and after an hour look down, you will see that you may not be that far from the bottom but that does not mean that you have no progressed!
